Easy way to set all channels to 0 in a Timeline?

I use Chauvet DMX-RT ($110) boxes as standalone playback devices. It has a mode where it will start recording on non-zero data, and stop recording when everything goes to 0. I have been making a special group of all fixtures and adding that set to 0 to make this work. Tonight I noticed that the Even...

RGB+W lights and effects that want white

Long-time newbie, just upgraded to 3.x. If I apply the Lightning effect to an RGB fixture, it correctly tries to use R+G+B to make white-ish. On lights that have RGB+W, I want it to use white, so I have to create special groups that just have the White channel, and then add that and use it. That see...

Re: U`King ZQ-B55 (RGBW, 8 channel)

I just upgraded to VM 3.x. I am now back to looking at this fixture. How am I supposed to handle RGB+W lights? Also, when I try to use the fixture preview on this RGB light, I get two light objects in the display: Screen Shot 2020-09-15 at 10.43.01 PM.png The left one reflects the color and flickeri...

Re: U`King ZQ-B55 (RGBW, 8 channel)

Oh, I apologize, I misunderstood your question. Yes, once you put in a channel you can not change it's type, you can edit the selections inside of it, you can rearrange it in the channel order, but you can not change it's type. I would recommend adding another channel, setting it up the way you wan...

Re: U`King ZQ-B55 (RGBW, 8 channel)

Thanks, Ashley... I'll just attach a screen shot. It lets me edit, but doesn't let me change the Channel Type (only edit settings for the existing Channel Type). Is there a way I could have changed something I put in as Selector to become Color Wheel or whatever? Screen Shot 2018-11-09 at 7.44.55 PM...

Re: U`King ZQ-B55 (RGBW, 8 channel)

You can not make changes to a fixture that you have already added to your timeline. You need to make a copy of the fixture file, give it a new name, and then make your changes. You can then double click on "Mode" to change its value. Or you can add another Channel and use "Ordering" to take the Mod...

Thanks, Ashley.

Is it possible to edit and change Mode? Or do you have to delete and start over?

U`King ZQ-B55 (RGBW, 8 channel)

This is a very cheap (around $12) RGBW made-in-China light available on e-Bay and, at a highest cost, Amazon: http://www.ukingstagelights.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=66&product_id=49 It has 8 channels: CH1 - "Macro Function" - A1, A2, A3, A4, and A5. These seem to be preset patterns. CH...

Re: How to create and control RGBW LED?

I have some cheap China RGB+W lights and I needed to do something similar. This may not be the best way, but what I did was assign a Lamp Track to use RGB, and put color commands there, and make another Lamp Track with just the W channel. I can then do normal RGB effects to the main channel, but whe...

Re: Live Paging Mic

Hi Allen, Thanks for the info. We re working towards that direction as well for our fire marshall. We are using an arduino via artnet to control canned audio files. Just hopoing for a live mic option so we can give places calls, or call various actors to makeup so we don't have to search for them. ...
